Answer is option II

Given that there are 7 points earned for each touch down and 3 points for each field goal.

t represents thenumber of touchdowns and f the number of field goals.

Then points scored would be 7(t) +3(f) = 7t+3f

Hence we get 7t+3f =55

Also number of field goals was 1 more than twice the number of touchdowns.

Twice the touchdowns = 2(t)

f = 2t+1

Hence the two equations would be:

f = 2t+1

7t+3f =55

Hence option ii is the right answer.
