its kind of hard to explain, but lets say you need to find the square root of 64. what ever is multiplied by itself two times will equal something. So you prob. know that 64 divided by 8 equals 8, so 8 squared equals 64 since u multiply it 2 times, so the sqaure root of 64 would be 8
