A) if 3½ cups make 1½ dozen, how will you find out how to make 1 dozen?

b) how do you get 1½ down to just 1 dozen?
> divide by 1.5
> 1.5 ÷ 1.5 = 1 dozen

c) so now you do it to the other measurement
> 3.5 ÷ 1.5 = 2.33
> 2.33 = 2⅓ cups

d) your answer is:
for every 1 dozen muffins, you need 2⅓ cups of flour

Iteru [2.4K]
Cool problem !
Two pages of a book that face each other are consecutive integers, and one of them is even and the other one is odd.
So let's look at half of 69.
That's 34.5.
So let's try page 34 and page 35.
That works !

A planet's initial height is 7 inches tall . The plant grows 1.3 inches each day for 27 days before the plant falling over 0.5 i
hodyreva [135]

Answer:

40.6 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

The plant's initial height is 7 inches tall.

It grows 1.3 inches each day for 27 days. This means that after 27 days, it must have grown an extra:

1.3 * 27 = 35.1 inches

It must have grown an extra 35.1 inches after 27 days. Therefore, its new height after 27 days is:

7 + 35.1 = 42.1 inches

The plant then begins falling over 0.5 inch for the next 3 days. After 3 days, it must have fallen over by a height:

0.5 * 3 = 1.5 inches

Therefore, after 30 days, the plant's new height is:

42.1 - 1.5 = 40.6 inches

The plant's height after 30 days is 40.6 inches

I need help on how to solve this so anything is good :)
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

STUV is a square

Step-by-step explanation:

segment length² = (x-x₁)² + (y-y₁)²

ST²: (-9 - 1)2 + (14 - 10)² = (-10)² + 4² = 116   (the rest follow this formula)

TU² = 116    TV² = 232    SU² = 232   SV² = 116   UV² = 116

ST = TU =SV = UV  (4 sides congruent)

TV = SU  (diagonal equal)

This is a square
