Consider the function f(x) = (x+ 1)2 - 1. Which of the following functions stretches
Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

A coefficient of 4 would have to be added in front of (x+1)^2 in order to vertically stretch the function by a factor of 4.

The answer that demonstrates this is choice C: f(x) = 4(x+1)^2-1

Vertical Angle Relationships<br><br><br> What is m∠PTS?
igor_vitrenko [27]
So since these angles are across from each other they have to equal each other so:
   11(y-10)=4y-5
   11y-110=4y-5
  -4y          -4y
  7y-110=-5
      +110  +110
  7y=105
  divide by seven on both sides of the equation
   y=15
So you would plug 15 into the equation :11(15-10) and with Order or Operations you would do parenthesis first which is 5 times 11 which equals 55 and that would be the measure of your angle

1) The width is the length on the bottom of the rectangle, and the height is the length on the side of the rectangle.
    Count the unit squares to find the width and height.
    The answer is B) width = 5 and height = 6.

2) Side AB is the side on the bottom. Count the unit squares to find its length.
     The answer is 8 units.

3) Use the distance formula to find the distance between points Y and M.
     The distance formula = \sqrt{(x2- x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2}
     Plug in the points for Y and M into the distance formula.
     \sqrt{(-3-3)^2 + (2-2)^2} = \sqrt{36}, which = 6.
     The answer is B) 6 units.
