I cant find a dictionary with the word "sighed" in it... does any one know what it means

It is basically the word "sigh" like when someone takes a deep breath in and out and you can hear it. "Sighed" is the past tense version of "sigh". Here is an example of "sigh" and "sighed":
Molly really wanted to sigh because of how disappointed she was with her brother.
Molly sighed, disappointed by what her brother had done.

The Canterbury Tales is a compilation of stories from 1387 to 1400. The story revolves around a group of thirty people who journeyed to Canterbury in England. Since it is a long trip, each of the travelers share story to everyone in order to kill time and forget how really far are they from their destination.
