The cities living conditions in 1800 was a horrible place to live. People would throw out their waste onto the streets and the air was also sometimes dangerous to breath because of all of the pollution from the factories. Also crime was also very high then as well. The living conditions of the cities change between the 1800 and 1900 to a more safe place to live were people had indoor plumbing and there was more safety.
The working conditions also changed because people made laws to limit what kind of machines could be used, how many machines one person could operate, and how much space the workers were given.
