The radical Republicans respond to President Johnson’s veto of a bill allowing the Freedmens bureau to continue its work by passing the civil rights act of 1866.

Answer: Option D

Explanation:

According to this law, citizenship was redefined, along with declaration that all the citizens are equal at the eyes of law. The main intention of passing this law is to protect and preserve the rights of people who have an African origin and are brought to the U.S.A, especially before the American Civil War. The passing of The Civil Right Acts of 1866 was a response of the Radical Republicans to President Johnson’s veto of a bill allowed the Freedmens bureau to continue its work.

What was one of the first big Imperial events in Asia/China?
telo118 [61]
ONE of them that I know well was the massacre of the last of the Samurai. A band has made a song on it known as Shiroyama. 500 Samurai were left after a long time of modernization. Given they still followed the old ways, they didn’t have the same equipment as the Imperial forces which had early versions of firearms. After the last of the Samurai were in an encounter with imperial forces, it was swords brought to a gunfight. After the battle, all of the Samurai perished and their ways died out over time.

How did shang kings maintain their power?
AleksandrR [38]
The only answer I found was: The ancient Chinese kings maintained control of their dynasties throguh military means.

You probably go to connections accademy. I do too.

This question is in the Journey Across Time text book on page 231. The answer is on pages 225 - 231.

Besides the two answers above me, I managed to find a reasonable answer:

"Rulers became powerful because they controlled land and had strong armies."

This is all I could find, hope this benefits others who wonder what the answer is!
