Let speed of water leaking out = x/h
water left in the tank after 24h=20-(speedxtime)
=20-(24x)
=14
20-24x=14
24x=6
x=1/4

Therefore, answer is (a).

Step 1

<u>Find the amount of water that leaked out from the barrel</u>

Subtract 14 liters from the total of water of the barrel

so

20-14=6\ liters

<u>Find the rate of liters of water leaked out per hour</u>

Divide the amount of water that leaked out from the barrel by 24 hours

\frac{6}{24} \frac{liters}{hours}= 0.25\frac{liters}{hour}

therefore

<u>the answer is</u>

0.25\frac{liters}{hour}

Answer:

68

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the vanilla first by dividing 420 by 7 and multiplying the quotient by 2 to get 120.

Then find the banana using the equation 35/100 = x/420, cross multiply to get 147.

Add 120 and 147 to get 267.

Subtract 267 from 420 to get 153.

Divide 153 by 9 to get 17.

Get the number of lemon cakes by multiplying 17 by 4.
