Answer:

Cube-root defines: A number is a special value that, when used in a multiplication three times, gives that number.

Its symbol is denoted by: \sqrt[3]{}

USing Law of radical:

1. \sqrt[n]{ab}= \sqrt[n]{a} \cdot \sqrt[n]{b}

2. \sqrt[n]{x^n} =(\sqrt[n]{x} )^n =\sqrt[n]{x^n} =x

To find the cube root of 27a^{12} ;

By the definition of cube root

\sqrt[3]{27 a^{12}} = \sqrt[3]{27} \cdot \sqrt[3]{a^{12}} [Using [1]]

we can write 27 as 3 \times 3 \times 3 = 3^3 and a^{12} = (a^4)^3

then;

\sqrt[3]{27 a^{12}} = \sqrt[3]{3^3} \cdot \sqrt[3]{a^{4}^3}

 = 3 \cdot a^4       [ Using [2] ]

therefore, the cube root of 27a^{12} is 3a^4

What are the range values of the function f (x ) = 3x + 4 for the domain values {-5, -1, 0, 2, 7}?
Airida [17]

Answer:

Range values are:

{-11, 1, 4, 10, 25}

Step-by-step explanation:

Domain values are the possible x values that can be entered into the function, or the inputs.  Range values are the y values, or the outputs. By inserting every value in the set into the function, we get the outputs (y values)

-15 + 4 = -11

-3+4 = 1

0 + 4 = 4

6 + 4 = 10

21 + 4 = 25

Remember to put them in order.

Drag the tiles to the correct boxes to complete the pairs.
GenaCL600 [577]

The values have being matched to the variables that they represent here:

  • x-variable: the number of hours Sam works at the airport
  • y variable:  the amount in dollars that Sam has after paying back Daniel
  • 12: amount in dollars that Sam earns per hour.
  • 40: the amount in dollars Sam owes Daniel

<h3>How to solve for the equation.</h3>

The equation of this form y = 12x-40

The variable y has been said to be the amount sam has after Daniel has been paid.

X is the amount that has to be multiplied by what he earns in dollars by the hour.

40 dollars is the amount that he owes which is going to be subtracted from what he earns by the hour.
