Given,

The total distance = $2\frac{1}{4}$ km,

Time = $\frac{3}{4}$ hours,

Since,

$Speed =\frac{Distance}{Time}$

Thus, the speed of the group of hikers = $\frac{2\frac{1}{4}}{\frac{3}{4}}$

$=\frac{\frac{9}{4}}{\frac{3}{4}}$

= 3 km per hour,

Now, Distance = speed × time

Let y be the distance( in km ) covered in x hours  

⇒ y = 3x

If x = $\frac{3}{4}$

$y=3\times \frac{3}{4}=\frac{9}{4}$

If x = 2

$y=3\times 2=6$

If x =3

$y=3\times 3 = 9$

If x = 4

$y=3\times 4=12$

Hence, the required points in the coordinate plane are, ( shown in the below diagram )
