Which are purposes of comic relief? Select 3 options. Easing the tension an audience may be feeling providing background informa
Vesna [10]

Comic Relief is an operating British charity, founded in 1985 by the comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Lenny Henry in response to the famine in Ethiopia.

Easing the tension an audience may be feeling provides background information about characters.

It emphasises the seriousness of the previous moment balancing the mood of a serious drama through contrast offering a complication to the rising action of a plot.

<h3>What is a serious drama?</h3>

While comedies tend to be playful, tragedies are serious. Tragedies have depressing themes and sad endings.

Some types of serious dramas are written poetically, such as heroic dramas and Shakespearean tragedies, while others are written in prose, or everyday language, such as modern tragedies.

Malcolmx:How does the state Welfare humiliate and dehumanize the
yan [13]

Answer:

The Welfare people made constant visits to the family home and look at them as if they are inferior to them. They also present Mrs. Little of being insane and admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

Explanation:

"The Autobiography of Malcolm X" by Malcolm X and Alex Haley was a book that details the life of Malcolm Little from his childhood till his later years. The book became one of the most read and the most sought non-fictional book of all times.

Even though it was a product of Haley's interview with Malcolm, the book was directly addressed to the readers making it easily relatable to them. In chapter I of the book, Malcolm mentions one instance when the State Welfare people used to visit their home. He remembered how they looked at them "<em>in a way that had about it the feeling-at least  for me-that we were not people. In their eyesight we were just _things_, that was all</em>". He also stated "<em>acted as if they owned us, as if we were their  private property</em>."

After their mother, he became the target of the Welfare people due to his stealing. They also reported to the government that their mother Mrs. Little "<em>was losing their mind</em>". All of these acts by the Welfare people made their life miserable.

The State does not continue to do so as most of the Welfare organisations/ people are more sympathetic to the cause of the welfare of the people.

Can soemone pzz helppp me wit this ASAP
8090 [49]

It was a cold and quiet day in Overlane, Kansas.  The chilly breeze rushed past, as if late t a meeting of some sort. Subconsciously, I pulled my black jacket closer. As if that would help from this kind of cold, I thought.  Suddenly, I saw a flash of light in a window nearby. As soon as I saw it, I practically rused over to the small cottage. Where there's light, there's heat.

When I got to the house, I saw a sign on the door saying "Do Not Enter". For a slight moment, I thought about whether to open the door or abandon the plan.  After some deliberation, I saw that positives outweighed the negatives.  As soon as the door came open, a blast of warm air rushed towards me.  It felt as if there was a furry blanket covering me all around. I enjoyed this feeling, I must say.

The fire was nearby, flickering and flashing like fireflies in the dark. Walking quickly, I came over and sat next to the hot fire. I was so close that it felt as if the fire was touching me.

Suddenly, the door oppened. Alarmed, I stood arbuptly and saw the visitor. It was a pale woman with brown hair, wearing a pink scarf, books, and a black and white stripped sweater. Immediately, she reached for phone. The thought hit me instanlty.

I shouted, "No! Please, I only came because the cold was unbearable."

But the damage had been done.  She was already on the phone, talking to the cops.

I wondered, thoughts racing through my head, what would happen next.

<em>Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes! Wrote it quickly but hope it helps!</em>
