Answer:

For type 1 diabetes, insulin is required because of the beta cells in the pancreas are no longer making any insulin.

In type two diabetes, you might need it because the pancreas is worn to the point it no longer produces insulin.

Explanation:

Type two does not always require insulin, and generally requires weight loss more than it does insulin, because insulin is usually still able to be produced, just maybe not as much as it should

All people with type 1 diabetes need insulin because their bodies do not make it any more. People with type 2 may be insulin resistant, or may not make enough insulin or may not make any at all or may have a combination of these. It's up to the person's endocrinologist to figure out the best treatment for type 2.

I hope this helps you ^-^

A 12-month-old with Kawasaki disease received IV immunoglobulin (IVIG) 2 months ago. The child is in the clinic for follow-up an
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

Vaccine for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella should be delayed.

Explanation:

Generally IVIG usually inhibit the immune response, to the live pathogen used to induce response in the vaccine.Consequently, given another vaccine immediately may have adverse effect on the immune system of the child. Therefore a period of intervals should be set between administration of IVIG and other vaccines.

Based on standard recommendation; this depends on the nature of vaccine the child needs. Thus if

the child needs vaccine for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, the delay should be 10monts.

A peroid of 5-months is needed to wait if Varicella vaccine is needed.

Cells free Protein expression is described below.

Explanation:

 • laboratories came to adopt the technique for protein synthesis for the purposes of answering the age-old question: exactly what role do amino acids play in proteins? Scientists Marshall Nirenberg and Heinrich Matthaei made a huge breakthrough in the answer to this fundamental question in 1961, successfully applying cell-free protein expression to make the connection between nucleotide triplets and the amino acids they encode.

 • Using an in vitro translation system based on E. coli, they were able to synthesize the polypeptide polyphenylalanine. From there, they were able to determine the connection between the amino acid phenylalanine and its corresponding codon UUU, essentially discovering the key to cracking the genetic code. This groundbreaking experiment would eventually lead to the deciphering of all the remaining amino acid codons and laid the foundation for the wide variety of translation biology systems that are available today
 • Cell-free expression begins with crude extracts generated from cultured cells that are typically engaged in a high rate of protein synthesis, such as immature red blood cells (reticulocytes). These crude extracts are depleted of their endogenous DNA and mRNA, and the cell lysate is subsequently supplemented with macromolecular components required to perform translation, including ribosomes, tRNAs, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases and initiation, elongation and termination factors.
