Molar mass :

O2 = 31.99 g/mol
CO = 28.01 g/mol

2 CO (g) + O2(g) =  2 CO2 (g)

2 x 28.01 g CO -------------------- 31.99 g O2
mass CO --------------------------- 16 g O2

mass CO = 16 x 2 x 28.01 / 31.99

mass CO = 896.32 / 31.99

=> 28.018 g of CO

1 CH4 (g) + 2 O2 (g) -----> CO2 (g) + 2H2O(l) ΔH= - 890 kJ
1 mol           2 mol
1) If ΔH has minus, it means "release". We need only "release" choices.
2) From reaction
1 mol CH4 (g)  "releases"  ΔH= - 890 kJ  - We do not have this choice.

2 mol  O2 (g)   "release" ΔH= - 890 kJ, so
1 mol  O2 (g)   "release" ΔH= - 445 kJ

The volume of a sample of a gas is 1.0 liter at STP. If the pressure remains constant and the temperature is raised to 546 K, th
kvasek [131]

Answer:

2 L is the new volume

Explanation:

We can apply the Ideal Gases Law to solve the problem.

At STP, we kwow that 1 mol of gas occupy a volume of 22.4 L

Then, how many moles do we have in 1 L?

Let's do it by a rule of three:

(1L . 1 mol) / 22.4L = 0.0446 moles

These moles are at 1 atm and 273 K of temperature, so let's change our conditions.

P . V = n . R .T

1 atm . V = 0.0446 mol . 0.082 L.atm/mol K . 546 K

V = 2 L

If we pay attention, we can notice that, if we double temperature, we double the volume.
