Answer: The answer is A) The mean remains the same.

Step-by-step explanation: To find the mean you add up the total of numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are.

so, 15+23+24+26+27+35= 150 divided by 6 = 25.

Now without the outliers, 23+24+26+27=100 divided by 4 = 25

So with and without the outliers the mean still stays 25

The mean increases by two.

15+23+24+26+27+35 = 140
140/6 = 23.3

23+24+26+27 = 100
100/4 = 25

The mean roughly increases by 2.

A right square pyramid is pictured below. if l is 15 cm and x is 18 cm, what is the surface area of the pyramid?
Nady [450]

Answer:

The surface area of square pyramid is 953.64  cm² .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as for a square pyramid :

The height of pyramid = l  = 15 cm

The base of square pyramid = x = 18 cm

Now,

The surface area of square Pyramid = b^{2} + 2b\times \sqrt{\frac{b^{2}}{4}+h^{2}}

or , The surface area of square Pyramid = x^{2} + 2x\times \sqrt{\frac{x^{2}}{4}+l^{2}}

Or, The surface area of square Pyramid = 18^{2} + 36\times \sqrt{\frac{18^{2}}{4}+15^{2}}

Or,  The surface area of square Pyramid = 324 + 36 × \sqrt{81 + 225}

or,  The surface area of square Pyramid = 324 + 36 × 17.49

Or , The surface area of square Pyramid = 324 + 629.64 = 953.64 cm²

Hence The surface area of square pyramid is 953.64  cm² .  Answer
