The Munich Agreement was a settlement permitting Nazi Germany's annexation of portions of Czechoslovakia along the country's borders mainly inhabited by German speakers, for which a new territorial designation "Sudetenland" was coined. The agreement was negotiated at a conference held in Munich, Germany, among the major powers of Europe, excluding the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia. Today, it is widely regarded as a failed act of appeasement toward Germany. The agreement was signed in the early hours of 30 September 1938 (but dated 29 September). The purpose of the conference was to discuss the future of the Sudetenland in the face of ethnic demands made by Adolf Hitler. The agreement was signed by Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Sudetenland was of immense strategic importance to Czechoslovakia, as most of its border defenses, and banks were situated there,[citation needed] as well as heavy industrial districts.

Because the state of Czechoslovakia was not invited to the conference, it considered itself to have been betrayed by the United Kingdom and France, so Czechs and Slovaks call the Munich Agreement the Munich Diktat (Czech: Mnichovský diktát; Slovak: Mníchovský diktát). The phrase "Munich Betrayal" (Czech: Mnichovská zrada; Slovak: Mníchovská zrada) is also used because the military alliance Czechoslovakia had with France and Britain[citation needed] proved useless and also known because of the phrase "About us, without us!" This phrase is most hurtful for people of Czechoslovakia (Czech republic, Slovakia and Subcarpathian Ruthenia). Today the document is typically referred to simply as the Munich Pact (Mnichovská dohoda).

In Germany the Sudeten crisis led to the so-called Oster Conspiracy. General Hans Oster, deputy head of the Abwehr, and prominent figures within the German military who opposed the regime for its behaviour that was threatening to bring Germany into a war that they believed it was not ready to fight, discussed overthrowing Hitler and the Nazi regime through a planned storming of the Reich Chancelleryby forces loyal to the plot.

Hope this helps.

Which of the following factors triggered the French Revolution?
lesya692 [45]

Answer:

Here is part of an essay I wrote, on the Palace Versailles, which was a main reason for the triggering of the French Revolution, and that will give you some insight into the thoughts and traditions of the royals living in France at the time.

I hope this helps, and that it gives you some helpful information! Thanks and Brainliest please!

Explanation:

The Palace was beautiful, but it cost the French millions of dollars to build, depleting the French treasury. This led to the fall of the French empire, which led to the French revolution. The people were starving and were suffering while the French king and the aristocracy were lived pampered lives within the walls of Versailles. The king had spent so much money on the palace that the people became outraged. The Aristocracy was living in luxury and with food in their stomachs while the French people struggled to survive. The infuriated people of France rose up and attacked the castle, bringing the king and queen to Paris where they were beheaded. The other aristocrats were also beheaded, few escaping the executions of the aristocracy and the royals. This led to a new of France, the country of France becoming a Republic rather than a monarchy.

Any adult in your life will remember the OJ Simpson trial. It was televised on national tv and everyone followed it closely.
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

Along with the fact that OJ was convicted for the murder of his wife, he was very famous and looked up to by many at the time. The case was followed on television and spoken about so widely in the news due to his status and the extremity of the crime he was accused of. The true question of whether murder trials should be in the media and on national TV is a very subjective matter. I believe in this case, entertainment of the people was chosen over privacy and proffesionality.
