Foundation of Connecticut was the resultant of the Puritan's belief. Connecticut colony or the Colony of Connecticut was a simple river colony in England which later became the State of Connecticut on 3rd March 1636 as a habitat of Puritan congregation. All these colonies were the believers of the Puritan's beliefs.

The colony had a bloody history because of the Pequot war between the colonists and the Pequot Indians. The colony led a deep impact on the other colonies as it refused to surrender to the local authorities of Britain and established a self-governing government. “Saybrook colony” and the “New Haven Colony” also fused with the Connecticut colony during the 1960s.
