Use the permutation formula to solve a problem when n = 15 and r = 4.
barxatty [35]

nPr =  \frac{n!}{(n - r)!}

15P4 =  \frac{15!}{(15 - 4)!} = \frac{15!}{11!} \\  = \frac{15 \times 14 \times 13 \times 12 \times 11!}{11!} \\ 15 \times 14 \times 13 \times 12 = 32760

How to use the zero product property and factoring solve for X
Marta_Voda [28]
Using the zero product property you can set each expression equal to 0 (or factor for some of them)
All you have to do is set them equal to zero and simplify to solve for x

a. (x+13)=0
x= -13
(x-7)=0
x=7

b. (2x+3)=0
x=-3/2
(3x-7)=0
x=7/3

c. x=0
(x-3)=0
x=3

d. x^{2} -5x=0
needs to be factored
factor out an x to get:
x(x-5) and set each equal to 0
x = 0
(x-5)=0
x=5

e. x^{2} -2x-35=0
also needs to be factored
(x-7)(x+5)=0
(x-7)=0       (x+5)=0
x=7   x=-5

f. 3x^{2} +14x-5=0
Also needs to be factored using the ac method:
3 x^{2} +15x-x-5
3 x^{2} (x+5)-1(x+5)
(3x-1)(x+5)=0

(3x-1)=0
x=1/3
(x+5)=0
x=-5

I hope this helps! (if so, give brainliest please!!)

suppose that In 2 = a and In 3 = b. Use properties of logarithms to write each logarithm in terms of a and b. I need help with n
olya-2409 [2.1K]

we are given

a=ln(2)

b=ln(3)

(39)

ln(6)

we can write it as

ln(6)=ln(2*3)

now, we can use property of log

ln(6)=ln(2)+ln(3)

now, we can replace with a and b

and we get

ln(6)=a+b............Answer

(43)

ln(9)

we can write it as

ln(9)=ln(3^2)

now, we can use property of log

ln(9)=2ln(3)

now, we can replace with a and b

and we get

ln(9)=2b............Answer
