Answer:

The  square feet of space per employee is more in building B .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The office space of building A = 7,500 ft²

The number of employee in building A = 320

Let The space in building A per square feet per employee = x ft²

So,  x = \dfrac{\textrm office space in building A}{\textrm number of employee in building A}

I.e x = \frac{7500}{320}

∴   x = 23.43 per square feet per employee

<u>So, For building A  23.43 per square feet per employee </u>

Again ,

The office space of building B = 9,500 ft²

The number of employee in building B = 317

Let The space in building B per square feet per employee = y ft²

So,  y = \dfrac{\textrm office space in building B}{\textrm number of employee in building B}

I.e y = \frac{9500}{317}

∴   y = 29.96 per square feet per employee

<u>So, For building B 29.96 per square feet per employee </u>

So , from calculation it is clear that the square feet of space per employee is more in building B .

Hence The  square feet of space per employee is more in building B .  Answer

Which shows a perfect square trinomial?
anastassius [24]
The answer is <span>c. 16x2 + 24xy + 9y2.

Since we need trinomial (three term expression) choices a and b are incorrect because they have only two terms.

So, our square trinomial is a</span>² + 2ab + b² or a² - 2ab + b²
a² + 2ab + b² = (a + b)²
a² - 2ab + b² = (a - b)²

Let's check choices c and d:
c) 16x² + 24xy + 9y²
a² = 16x²
a² = (4x)²
a = 4x

b² = 9y²
b² = (3y)²
b = 3y

a² + 2ab + b² = (4x)² + 2 * 4x * 3y + (3y)² = 16x² + 24xy + 9y²
CORRECT

d) 49x² - 70xy + 10y²
a² = 49x²
a² = (7x)²
a = 7x

b² = 10y²
b² = (y√10)²
b = y√10

a² + 2ab + b² = (7x)² + 2 * 7x * y√10 + (y√10)² = 49x² + 14xy√10 + 10y²
INCORRECT

So, c) is correct answer

A town is planning a playground. It wants to fence in a rectangular space using an existing wall. What is the greatest area it c
777dan777 [17]

Answer:

1250 ft^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that the playground is fenced on three sides of the playground and the four side has an existing wall.

Let the length of the rectangle be 'X' feet and width be 'Y' feet.

As the fencing is done using 100 feet of fence. We get the relation between the sides and the fence as, X + 2Y = 100.

As, X + 2Y = 100 → X = 100 - 2Y

Now, the area of the rectangle = XY = X × ( 100 - 2Y ).

i.e Area of the rectangle = -2Y^{2} +100Y.

The general form of a quadratic equation is y=ax^{2}+bx+c.

The maximum value of a quadratic equation is given by x=\frac{-b}{2a}.

Therefore, the greatest value of -2Y^{2} +100Y is at Y = \frac{-100}{2 \times -2} = \frac{-100}{-4} = 25.

Thus, Y = 25 and X = 100 - 2Y → X = 100 - 2 × 25 → X = 50.

Hence, the area of the rectangle is XY = 50 × 25 = 1250 ft^{2}.
