okazaki fragments select one: a. elongate the lagging strand away from replication fork 5' --> 3' b. elongate the leading str
diamong [38]

The Okazaki fragment moves the lagging strand away from the replication fork 5' --> 3'.

What does Okazaki Fragment do?

 • Okazaki fragments are small stretches of DNA formed during discontinuous lagging strand synthesis during DNA replication. They are important because they allow the synthesis of both daughter strands required for cell division.
 • DNA polymerases are enzymes involved in DNA replication. It synthesizes DNA only in the 5'-3' direction. However, double-stranded DNA is antiparallel, so DNA synthesis should occur in both directions. Thus, Okazaki fragments are formed during synthesis of the lagging template strand.

What is difference between leading and lagging strands?

The main difference between leading and lagging strands is that the leading strand is the DNA strand that grows continuously during DNA replication whereas the lagging strand grows discontinuously by forming short segments known as Okazaki fragments.

A scientist studied the effect of exposing DNA to various wavelengths of ultraviolet light and determined the number of copying
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

C. 275 nm

Explanation:

At 275 nm of ultraviolet wavelengths causes mutation in a skin cell because at 275 nm of wavelength, maximum DNA Copying Errors occur in the cells that leads to mutation in the cell. A mutation is a kind of change that occurs in the DNA, due to two reasons, due to mistakes that is occur when the DNA is copied or as the result of environmental factors such as ultraviolet radiations.

Speech about Environmental pollution

Good morning /afternoon to one and all present here

I am here to talk about environmental pollution.

Pollution - It is defined as the addition of any substance or energy to the environment that is in some harmful form is know as a pollution

It can also be called as environmental pollution.

The environmental pollution include air pollution, water pollution, land pollution, noise pollution, light pollution, and plastic pollution

Air pollution:

It is caused mainly due to the smoke from automobiles and by the unwanted smoke sent out from factories.

They produce carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, ozone, lead, that leads to smog formation also causes damage to foliage It causes health issues like, heart disease, inflammation and irritation of breathing passages, breathing difficulties, particularly for people with asthma, reduced lung function,

Water pollution:

The release of substances into subsurface groundwater or into lakes, streams, rivers, estuaries, and oceans. It is caused due to the industrial waste that are disposed directly into the water.

People use the same water for drinking, washing clothes, washing animals and they take bath in the same water.

Land pollution:

This is caused by the artificial pesticides used. They pollute the soil and damage the crops and will infect the vegetables that grow underground.

Noise pollution:

This is caused by the automobiles and the sound produced by the speakers.
