You are a doctor examining a bone sample taken from a patient with weak bones. You find that the bone tissue contains many small

pores. This is most likely caused by:
1. Inability of the osteocytes to receive nutrients.
2. Lack of blood vessels in the compact bone.
3. Reduced bone marrow in the spongy bone.
4. Overactive osteoclasts.
