50 yards. You are going to be taking away from that 50, so "50 -" should be part of the expression. This eliminates C.

12 skirts that take 3 yards each means 3 yards * 12 skirts which is 3 * 12. This is being subtracted from 50.
We also want to subtract 9 hats * 1 yard which is 9 * 1 = 9

Our expression will look like this: 50 - 12 * 3 - 9 * 1
or 50 - 12 * 3 - 9, which is D

12 skirts take 3 yards each = 12*3

9 hats take 1 yard each = 9*1

Remainder of yards left:

50 - 12*3 - 9*1

50 - 12*3 - 9      Option D

I hope this helps.

Answer:

  4%

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount of simple interest is given by ...

  I = Prt . . . . . amount P invested at annual rate r for t years

This can be solved for r:

  r = I/(Pt)

Using the given values, we find the rate to be ...

  r = 16/(200·2) = 16/400 = 4/100 = 4%

The annual interest rate is 4%.

Three brothers have ages that are consecutive even integers. the product of the first and third boys' ages is 20 more than wice
vladimir1956 [14]
Let the first brother = x
second brother = x + 2
third brother = x + 4

<span>The product of the first and third boys' ages is 20 more than twice the second boy's age:

x(x+4) = 2(x+2) + 20
x</span>² + 4x = 2x + 4 + 20
x² + 4x - 2x - 24 = 0
x² + 2x - 24 = 0
(x - 4)(x + 6) = 0
x = 4 or -6 (rejected, age cannot be negative)

First brother = 4
Second brother = 4 + 2 = 6
Third brother = 4 + 4 = 8

The three boys are 4, 6, and 8 years old.

When f(x) is replaced with<br> f(x)+k, the graph that results is shown below <br> K=__?
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

k = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Parent function of the given graph → f(x) = (x - 1)²

If the parent function is shifted 6 units up.

Equation of the translated function will be → g(x) = (x - 1)² + 6

g(x) = f(x) + 6

Therefore, k = 6 will be the answer.
