Indeed, an economic alliance between European countries is a good solution to the problem of wars on the continent. It has been shown that countries that have joined the European Union have not  had war conflicts with other member countries.

This is due to the fact that this alliance provides member countries with a formal organization in which their governments keep in touch, resolving their issues in a peaceful manner and with the verification of a supranational entity (the European Union itself) as well as the rest of the member countries. Confrontation is avoided through debate in a common environment, and in this way the conflict rate is lowered.
