O'Connor's Flannery uses the Metaphor seen in the quote "Body, longing, like home: everywhere; but passion, longing, like a car: always moving, always ...". Where in the first sentence, Flannery O'Connor said, "Miss's body is like a home, not going anywhere," describes Mr. Shiftlet is a smart person and has a high memory. The house is described as a residence where there is content in it so that the house depicts someone who is good at remembering and has high memories.
