Answer: The repeal of the Missouri compromise affected the state of Kansas because individuals rushed to Kansas to cast votes on the issue of slavery.

The correct answer is C.

Explanation:

The Northern and Southern activists rushed to Kansas to vote in the elections. At first the pro-slavery was won in the elections but the vote was later threw out due to fraud. Another vote was given, but the pro-slavery people refused to participate in the elections held by anti-slavery settlers. This caused Kansas to have two separate legislations. After this, Kansas was known as "bleeding Kansas" because of all of the deaths that occured between the two groups.

The answer is C. Individuals rushed to Kansas to cast votes on the issue of slavery because of the repeal of the Missouri Compromise.

EXPLANATION

The individuals that were rushed to Kansas to vote in the elections are the Nothern and Southern activists. They are rushed to Kansas to vote for the election. The pro-slavery first won the elections but later people found out that it was due to fraud. The pro-slavery then refused to do another election. The reason behind it is because the election was held by anti-slavery settlers. This made Kansas known as “bleeding Kansas” because of the quarrel of pro-slavery and anti-slavery.

Missouri compromise is the solution made by Henry Clay, a leading congressman. At first, Missouri was going to be admitted as a slave state. Second, slavery was banned from all of the new states in Louisiana Purchase, which is north of the southern boundary of Missouri. This lasted for 30 years before the Kansas-Nebraska Act happened.

The Missouri crisis was seen as a big problematic area in American politics. People predicted that this was going to explode in a civil war. The African Americans knew that they can’t rely on the whites to end slavery. They also realize that the divide between south and north and the battle over the expansion of western would be the key to open opportunities for the blacks to exploit.
