Two swimmers start out from opposite ends of a swimming pool(red side and blue side). They cross each other for the first time a

t line PQ, which is 21 yards from the red side and 29 yards from the blue side. They reach the opposite ends, turn around and cross again at line RS. Assuming that they both travel at constant speeds, how far is line RS from the blue side? The line RS is to the right of line PQ, which is 21 feet from the red side.

Answer:

13 yds

Step-by-step explanation:

the blue side starter (B) swims 29yd in the time it takes the red side starter (R) to swim 21yd

their combined distance, when they meet, is 50yd (length of pool)

they pass each other and continue to the ends of the pool (combined distance, 100yd)

they swim towards each other again, and pass a second time (combined distance, 150yd)

at this point, R has swum 63yd (3*21) -- one length plus 13yd

so RS is 13yd from the blue end

I need help on how to prove it is a trapezoid - the steps
Vlad1618 [11]
Since all the point connect to prove its a trapezoid, also the fact that it has 1 pair of parallel sides, and to geographic knowledge the sides and angles plus the way it is graphed on the graph it fits the definition of a trapezoid in geographic shapes. Hope this helps lots <3

Use the formula v=u+at to find the velocity when .the initial velocity is 3m/s. •the acceleration is 1.5 m/s. •the time is 7 sec
Ksju [112]

Final Velocity = Initial Velocity + (Acceleration * time)

Final Velocity = ?

Initial Velocity = 3

Acceleration = 1.5

Time = 7

Plug in and solve

3+(1.5*7)

3+10.5

Velocity = 13.5m/s

A hockey puck has a radius of 3.7 cm and a thickness of 2.6 cm. what is its volume, to the nearest cubic centimeter
torisob [31]

The volume of the hockey puck will be 111.82 cubic cm.

What is volume?

Volume is defined as the space occupied by any object in the three-Dimensions. For the cylindrical shapes, the volume will be calculated by using the radius and the length of the cylinder.

Given that:-

 • A hockey puck has a radius of 3.7 cm and a thickness of 2.6 cm

The volume of the hockey puck will be calculated as:-

V = π r² l

V = π ( 3.7)² 2.6

V = 111.82 cubic cm.

Therefore the volume of the hockey puck will be 111.82 cubic cm.
