Answer:

2) The temperature is 20°C

3) The temperature increased 16°F

4) The temperature increased at a rate of 5°F/hour

5) The temperature decreased 7°F

6) Between 8 a.m. and noon

7) No, it's not reasonable

Explanation:

2) In this item all you need to know is how to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius

T[F]=\frac{9}{5} *T[C] + 32

Clearing the equation

T[C]=(T[F]-32)*\frac{5}{9}

T[C]=(68-32)*\frac{5}{9}

T[C]=20 C

3) Just a difference between the final temperature and the initial temperature

difT[F]=T[final] - T[initial]

difT[F]=84 F - 68 F

Important: the sing of the difference only gives you an idea if the temperature increased (+) or decreased (-)

The temperature increased 16°F

4) If the temperature rose at a steady rate that means that in each hour of the range you are evaluating the temperature increased in the same ammount of degrees. So:

 • As said in item 2) betweetn 8 a.m. and noon the the temperature increased 20°F
 • Between 8 a.m. and noon, 4 hours passed.

To determine the rate per hour:

Rate=\frac{20 F}{4hr}

The temperature increased at a rate of 5°F/hour

5) Another difference between the final temperature and the initial temperature

difT[F]=T[final] - T[initial]

difT[F]=77 F - 84 F

The temperature decreased 7°F

6) To determinate that you need to compare the rates of each period. For the period between 8a.m. and noon it was calculated in item 4).

For the period between noon and 4p.m. :

Rate=\frac{7 F}{4hr}

Rate=1.75 F/hr

As can be seen, between 8 a.m. and noon the temperature changed more rapidly

7) No, it's not reasonable because if the tempature rate between noon and 4 p.m. was 1.75 °F/hr, it´s unlikely ot turn to 11°F/hr (from 77°F to °F in 2 hours) in the following hours.

Natali5045456 [20]

Answer:

Temporary in nature.

No new substance is formed.

Explanation:

Temporary in nature: Does not affect the internal structure of a substance, only the molecules are rearranged.

No new substance is formed: Most of the physical changes are reversible. We can obtain the substance back even after the change.

hope this helps

Julia did an experiment to study the solubility of two substances. She poured 100 mL of water at 20 °C into each of two beakers
Aleks [24]

Answer: The solubility of B is high than the solubility of A.

Explanation:

The solubility is defined as the amount of substance dissolved in a given amount of solvent. More the solute gets dissolved, high will be the solubility and less the solute dissolved, low will be the solubility.

For the given observations:

Mass of undissolved substance of substance A is more than Substance B at every temperature. This implies that less amount of solute gets dissolved in the given amount of solvent.

Hence, substance B has high solubility than substance A.
