The subject of a piece of literature can be defined as the topic, what the story is going to be about. The theme of the story is the idea that the author is trying to convey to the public.

In this story, the subject is abuse and a little dog, so the correct option for subject would be option B: "A little dog is taken into an abusive home". It is not option A because in the story, the little kid hits the dog, so he is not kind. Option E is also incorrect because the father does not give the dog to the kid, the child finds it on his own.

The theme of the story is about how abuse can be transmitted from parent to child. This is exemplified in the story because the father abuses his family and the dog, and when the child meets the dog, he also hits him, so he learned to be abusive. Therefore the correct answer would be option D: "Those who are abused learn to abuse the weak". Option C is incorrect because there is no mention of empathy in the story.

Answer:

We should tweak a few things to enhance your writing.

Explanation:

As I read your answer, I would give some advice to fix a few things for it to make sense. You wrote Esperanza twice, so replace the extra name with the actual word you meant to write.

Also, the lesson would be (just a little more expanded version to give clarification): Esperanza realized that being rude to others is the same as being rude to her friends, which is why she learned not to do such a thing.

Also, another tip is to read your answer out loud to yourself and figure out any other problems it has.

Let me know if I need to clarify anything! :))

What do you mean about this essay?
Ivanshal [37]

Essay means in the following way

Explanation:

1.An essay is a piece of writing which is often written from an author's personal point of view.

2.Essays can consist of a number of elements, including: literary criticism, political manifestos, learned arguments, observations of daily life, recollections, and reflections of the author.

3.The definition of an essay is vague, overlapping with those of an article and a short story.

4. Almost all modern essays are written in prose, but works in verse have been dubbed essays. While brevity usually defines an essay, voluminous works like John Locke's An Essay Concerning Human Understanding and Thomas Malthus's An Essay on the Principle of Population are counterexamples.

5.In some countries, essays have become a major part of formal education. Secondary students are taught structured essay formats to improve their writing skills, and admission essays are often used by universities in selecting applicants and, in the humanities and social sciences, as a way of assessing the performance of students during final exams.
