Answer:

lower limit = 195.320

upper limit = 204.680

so correct option is d. (195.320, 204.680)

Explanation:

given data

sample mean x = 200

standard deviation SD = 10

no of sample n = 20

confidence interval = 95%

solution

we get here first Z value by confidence interval i.e 95 %

so Z is by table is = 2.093

and we apply here margin of error formula that is express as

margin of error = Z × \frac{SD}{\sqrt{n} } ....................1

put here value we get

margin of error = 2.093 × \frac{10}{\sqrt{20} }

margin of error = 4.6800

so here lower limit and upper limit will be as

lower limit = sample mean - margin of error

lower limit = 200 - 4.6800

lower limit = 195.320

and

upper limit = sample mean + margin of error

upper limit = 200 + 4.6800

upper limit = 204.680

so correct option is d. (195.320, 204.680)

The manufacturing overhead was overapplied by $32,000. Hence the correct choice of answer for this question would be option (b).

Give a brief account on manufacturing overhead.

Manufacturing overhead includes all incidental costs encountered during the production process. This overhead applies to units produced within a reporting period.

Some examples of costs that fall within the manufacturing overhead category are as follows:

  • Depreciation may be applied to production-related equipment.
  • property assessments for the manufacturing facility
  • Rent on the manufacturing facility
  • wages for maintenance workers
  • Manufacturing managers' salaries
  • salaries of the personnel in charge of materials
  • salaries of the quality assurance personnel
  • supplies not specifically related to the products
  • Building janitorial staff's salaries

As direct materials and direct labor are generally considered to be the only costs that are directly applied to a unit of production, manufacturing overhead is becomes all of the indirect costs that a factory incurs.

Which of the following is one effect of a purchase of $600 of supplies on credit? Select one:
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

d. It would increase liabilities by $600

Explanation:

Supplies are part of inventory, and when inventory is purchased it increases assets.

But is it purchased against cash then there is no change as assets in the form of cash is reduced by same.

Further, if these are purchased on credit then the balance of liabilities increases as the increase in liabilities and increase in assets keep the balance sheet equation matching.

Thus, purchasing on credit will increase the liabilities.
