HELP FAST I WILL MARK BRAINLIEST Mrs. Hanger is painting the following picture of an H to hang in the entryway of her home. She

has made the following scale drawing as her model. The scale used on the drawing is 1:6.
As you can see, the "H" is going to be painted brick red in the center of a rectangular beige background. This means the distance from the "H" to the top of the picture will be the same as the distance from the "H" to the bottom of the picture. Similarly, the distance from the "H" to the left side of the picture will be the same as the distance from the "H" to the right side of the picture. Finally, each segment of the "H" will have the same width.

Use the actual dimensions of the painting to find the percentage of the painting that will be beige. Explain your reasoning and show all calculations.

Answer:

The percentage of the rectangle that will be beige is 15.5 percent

Step-by-step explanation:

The width of the "H" is 1/2 the distance form the top to the bottom of the "H" is 1/2

1/2 + 1/2 =

the side langth of the "H" is 4

4 x 1/2 = 2

the dementions of the other 1/2 by 4 are the same, therefore,

2 + 2 = 4

the midle section is 1 by 1/2

1 x 1/2 = 1/2

the equation is 2 + 1/2 = 2 1/2

and converted to decimal form it is 4.5

the rectangle is 4 by 5

so 4 x 5 = 20

20 - 4.5 = 15.5 percent

Answer:

The percentage of the painting that will be beige is 80.83%.

Step-by-step explanation:

The whole rectangular beige background is equal to 100% beige. This means that the are of the entire rectangular background, 720 in.², is also equal to 100% beige. So, to find the area of the beige background that is not covered by the red "H", I first need to find the area of the "H". After finding the total area of "H", I can then subtract that to find the area of the beige area. Then, I will find the percentage of the beige area.

To find the area of "H", I will break up the "H" into different rectangular parts and find their area, then add all the numbers up together.

See upload.

So the total area of "H" is

60 in. + 18 in. + 60 in. = 138 in.²

So, subtract the are of "H" from the total area of the entire rectangular figure.

720 in.² - 138 in.² = 582 in.²

The total area of the beige area is 582 in.²

So, to find the percentage of 582 in.² out of 720 in.², divide 582 in.² by 720 in.²  :

582 in.² / 720 in.² =

80.83 %

So, 80.83% of the entire rectangular figure will be beige colored.

A spinner is divided into 10 congruent sections. Each section is labeled with a number as shown. What is the probability that the
Rufina [12.5K]

Answer:

50%

Step-by-step explanation:

The only numbers that are multiples of 2 are all even numbers. From 1 to 10 there are a total of 5 even numbers, meaning that only 5 sections are multiples of 2. Therefore, the probability of the arrow landing in a section that is labeled with a number that is a multiple of 2 would be

5/10  if we simplify this it would be 1/2 or 50%

Finally, we can say that the probability of the arrow landing on one of these sections is 50%

A tennis ball weighs about 57.6 grams. about how many apuntes would 12 tennis balls weigh?
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

The weight of 12 tennis balls  =  691. 2 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

The weight of each  tennis ball =  57.6 grams

So, the weight of 12 balls    =    12 x ( weight of 1 ball)

                                              = 12 x 57.6 grams

                                              = 691.2 grams

⇒12 balls weigh 691.2 grams

Hence, the weight of 12 tennis balls  =  691. 2 grams
