Answer:

12.8 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Radius of the can is 8 cm and height is 20 cm.

It is given that after painting his porch Jamil has \frac{1}{4} of a can of paint remaining. So, first we need to find the total amount of paint in the can.

Total amount of paint in the can is \text{Base area}\times\text{height}

So, paint in the can =\pi r^{2}\times h

=\pi (8)^{2}\times 20

Now \frac{1}{4}  of the can is \frac{1}{4}\times \pi (8)^{2}\times 20

=320\pi cubic cm.

Now, let the height of the smaller can be <em>h</em> cm.

Radius of the smaller can is 5 cm.

As, the paint is poured into the smaller can the volume of both the cans will be same.

\pi (5)^{2}\times h=320\pi

h=\frac{320\pi}{25\pi}

h=12.8

Hence, height of the smaller can to hold the paint must be 12.8 cm.

There are 275 people in the movie theater.The same number of people are seated in each of the 5 different sections of the theate
borishaifa [10]

The number of people seated in each section is 55.

<em><u>Explanation</u></em>

Suppose, the number of people seated in each section is x

As, the same number of people are seated in each of the 5 different sections, so the <u>total number of people seated in all those 5 sections</u> =5x

Given that, there are 275 people in the movie theater. So, the equation will be....

5x=275\\ \\ x=\frac{275}{5}=55

So, the number of people seated in each section is 55.

A grocery store paid $314.65 for 7 crates of milk . This can be expressed by the equation Y=KX. How much would they have paid fo
Bingel [31]
ANSWER: 134.85

3.14.65=7(44.95)

Y=314.65

K=7

X=44.95

314.65 divided by 7 is 44.95 so that means 1 crate costs 44.95 so 44.95 * 3 = 134.85 which is your answer and how much it would cost for 3 crates
