It would most likely die because it needs nitrogen , sunlight , and water , basic things that you can't exactly find in space....

It will have no chance of surviving since a tree needs H2O which is water ...and their is no carbon dioxide in space . There is just no chance for a tree to survive so basically if you plant a tree ....nothing will happen.
