Answer:

Children's play is influenced by gender roles by the fact that there will usually be a girls and boys section at a toy store where the toys that girls are "supposed" to play with are and the toys that boys are "supposed" to play with are. As your a child your parents also usually get you toys like dolls and castles if your a girl and usually get boys things like cars and superheros. When your a very young child you don't know what toys you want so parents usually get you toys based on your gender. Some parents also dissaprove your playtime choices when lets say a girl decides to climb a tree they think that that's innaproiate for a girl but they are fine if a boy does it. Some parents also don't approve of boys doing music or art as a child because the parents think that they should do sports. Hope this helps! :)
