Answer:

The total amount of money received at the lemonade stand was $49.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ---> the number of small drinks sold

y ---> the number of medium drinks sold

we know that

The stand sold 72 drinks

so

x+y=72 ----> equation A

The ratio of small drinks to medium drinks sold was 5:3

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{5}{3}

x=\frac{5}{3}y ----> equation B

substitute equation B in equation A

\frac{5}{3}y+y=72

\frac{8}{3}y=72\\\\y=72(3)/8\\\\y=27

Find the value of x

x=\frac{5}{3}(27)=45

Find out the total amount of money received at the lemonade stand

0.50(45)+1.00(27)=\$49.50

HELP! I don’t know what to do for #4. well i don’t know what to put for another equation. i Dont need help solving i just need h
OLga [1]

Let s = #small notebooks

Let L = #large notebooks

We Can set up two equations from the info given.

s + L = 6           bought 6 notebooks total

8s + 10L = 56    spent $56

Solve equation 1 for one variable.

L = 6-s

Plug 6-s in equation 2 in place of L

and solve for s

8s + 10(6-s) = 56

8s + 60 - 10s = 56

-2s + 60 = 56

-2s = -4

s = (-4)/(-2)

s = 2

 We know s+L = 6 and s=2

2+L = 6

L = 4

 4 large notebooks and 2 small notebooks

were purchased

Solve the system using the substitution method. y = -5x – 13 6x + 6y = -6 please help me NO LINKS!
lana [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y=-5x-13

Since we know the value of y we can substitute it in

6x+6(-5x-13)=-6

6x-30x-78=-6

-24x=72

-x=3

x=-3

Now that we know the value of x we can solve Y

y=-5(-3)-13

y=15-13

y=2

Which is the equivalent of 6 14’ 48” written in decimal form ?
goblinko [34]

Answer:

Option A. 6.247°

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

1°=60'

1'=60"

we have

6° 14' 48"

Convert to decimal form

<em>Convert seconds to minutes</em>

48"=48/60=0.8'

so

6° 14' 48"=6° + 14' +0.8'=6° 14.8'

<em>Convert minutes to degrees</em>

14.8'=14.8/60=0.247°

so

6° 14.8' =6° + 0.247°=6.247°
