Answer:

1) Circle -parallel cross section of a sphere

2) Cylinder- shape created when a rectangle is rotated about the y-axis.

3.) Cone - shape created when a right angled triangle is rotated about the y-axis.

4) Rectangle- perpendicular cross section of a cylinder.

5) Triangle- perpendicular cross section of a pyramid.

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is incomplete. Here is the complete question.

"Match the term with the definition. . . -perpendicular cross section of a pyramid. -perpendicular cross section of a cylinder. -parallel cross section of a sphere. -shape created when a rectangle is rotated about the y-axis. -shape created when a right triangle is rotated about the y-axis. . 1. circle. 2. cylinder. 3. triangle. 4. cone. 5. ellipse."

1.) Circle -parallel cross section of a sphere.

A circle can be formed out of s sphere by simply cutting the sphere parallel from the top to the base. It is easier to form circle out of sphere since sphere is circular in nature.

2.) Cylinder- shape created when a rectangle is rotated about the y-axis.

y axis is the vertical axis in spacial distribution. If a rectangle is rotated about its axis, it forms a cylinder. It is just like rolling a piece of A4 paper by trying to make the edges of the paper intersect.

3.) Cone - shape created when a right angled triangle is rotated about the y-axis.

This is kind of similar to that of cylinder formed out from a rectangle. If a plain sheet in right angled triangle form is rolled in the same manner i.e making one edge of the paper intersect with the other. The turning can be done at the base of the right angled triangle.

4.) Rectangle- perpendicular cross section of a cylinder.

Rectangle is a perpendicular bisection of a cylinder since we can form a cylinder out of a rectangle. The cylinder can be cut through its height to produce a rectangle.

5) Triangle- perpendicular cross section of a pyramid.

Triangle can be formed from a triangular or square based pyramid since each face of a pyramid are made up of triangles. They can easily be cut out perpendicularly from the tip of the pyramid to its base.

What is a relation and what makes it different from a function? How can you determine the domain and range of a function?
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

Note that both relations and functions have domains and ranges. The domain is the set of all first elements of ordered pairs (x-coordinates). The range is the set of all second elements of ordered pairs (y-coordinates). Only the elements "used" by the relation or function constitute the range.

Select the correct answer.<br> A and АВ:<br><br> Which matrix is matrix B?
Kruka [31]

Answer:

Option B

Step-by-step explanation:

Looking at the options, option B is correct because when multiplying it by matrix A, it yields the matrix AB as follows;

First row of A multiplied by first column of matrix in option D;

(1 × -1) + (0 × 0) + (0 × 0) = -1 which corresponds to the first number on the first row of Matrix AB

Since majority of matrix AB are zero, I will just prove the ones that are not zero.

Thus;

Second row of matrix A is multiplied by second column of matrix in option D;

(0 × 0) + (-1 × -1) + (0 × 0) = 1 which is same as 2nd number on second row in matrix AB

Lastly, third row of matrix A is multiplied by third column of matrix in option D;

(0 × 0) + (0 × 0) + (1 × -1) = -1 which is same as third number in third row in matrix AB
