Mental health of the person is determined by the physical, mental and social health of an individual. A person should be physically active and should have a healthy and active body. Mentally the person should be sound so that he handles his life situations in a proper way.

Social health refers to the active gelling of the person with the society achieving his goals, performing his day to day tasks in the society. If a person has problem in any of the three areas then he is said to be mentally ill.
