The length of a rectangle is 5cm less than twice the width. The perimeter is 44cm.
Veronika [31]

Answer:

Width = 9

Length = 13

Step-by-step explanation:

width = w

length = L

w(2) - 5 =  L

w + w + L + L = 44

44 + 5 + 5 = 54

54/6 = 9

9(2) = 18 - 5 = 13

w = 9

l = 13

Check:

9 + 9 + 13 + 13 = 44

9(2) = 18 - 5 = 13
