The Anarchical and Revolutionary Crimes of 1919 (popularly known as the Rowlatt Act) was a law passed in 1919 by British India. Under this law, the government got many powers, including the ability to arrest people and keep them in prisons without a trial. They also obtained the power to stop newspapers from reporting and printing news. The people called this act the Black Act. Indians protested against this law in many places. Fortunately this act was stopped by Mahatma Gandhi.
This exploited their right to protest. They could be arrested without trial. So, Indians hated it as it couldn't let them carry on their independence revolution
Hello,
The answer is A.) desert. The Fertile Crescent's name derives from it's prehistoric fertility. As of right now, the Fertile Crescent is not substantially fertile. This terrain of land extends from the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea to the Syrian Desert down to the Persian Gulf .
The Fertile Crescent is well known for its rich soil, annual floodings which dropped rich black soil around the rivers creating farmland, its Irrigation systems that were built to control flooding to make land productive, and the life giving rivers.
There were not volcanoes located in the Crescent nor were there rift valleys. Rift valleys are located on the ocean floor. A desert was located below the Crescent. The answer definitely wouldn't be (B. Savannah because, well, savannahs are defined by there plentiful amount of trees and grasslands. I wouldn't define the Fertile Crescent's ancient environment as having a superabundant of tree life. Yes, they did have some trees, but not a whole lot. Don't let the name "Fertile" trick you.
