distribute

(x+15) + 3x+45+x

remove parenthesis

x + 15 + 3x + 45 + x

Add like terms

5x + 60 = 245

Subtract 60 from both sides

5x + 60 - 60 = 245 - 60

5x = 185

divide by 5

x = 37
