Answer and Explanation:

What Robert Putnam meant to say by the statement was that the number of active meaningful societies, and the extent to which they are socially active, would go a long way in determining the health and well-being of the citizens: the number and level of activity of Italy’s choral societies (choir groups) have had a great impact on the wellbeing of many Italians—similar to getting health bills reimbursed, or using high-level social activities to enhance well-being.

Which is one reason the Europeans chose Africa as a labor source in the new world
Vladimir [108]
They did originally enslave American Indians, but three things put a stop to it. First, the Indians were all dying of epidemic diseases, which Africans had already been exposed to. Second, the Indians, being native, had a better knowledge of the land and its peoples, which made escape/revolt attempts more likely to be successful. Third, in response to debates about Spain and Portugal's treatment of indigenous people, the pope issued a bull in 1531 that banned the enslavement of American Indians.

How is money important in life, and why do people try to get so much if it is hurting the trees?
earnstyle [38]

Money is important in life because it ultimately decides your status, your stability, and what your future will look like. It is especially in high demand right now, and many people just can't make enough to sustain themselves and their families, resulting in the growing homeless crisis and in many families needing financial aid and help from other people to survive. People try to get so much of it and no one even thinks to care about trees being cut down, when it comes to their life. People just want to be able to live without piling debts and stress in regards to money and stability in life.
