st each other in the second round.  The winners then move from the Sweet Sixteen to the Elite Eight to the Final Four and finally to the Championship Game.How does an exponential function describe tournament play?Include the following in your answer:- an explanation of how you could use y=2x to determine the number of rounds for 128 teams, and- an explanation of an inappropriate number of teams for tournament play with an explanation of why this number would be inappropriate..

y = 2^x

For a 64 team tounament, 64 = 2^6, so there will be six rounds of play.

For a 128 team tounarment, 128 = 2^7, so there will be 7 rounds of play.

Any number of teams which is not a power of 2 is an inappropriate number of team for tounament play.

Hello:
let : f(x) = <span>x3 − 6x2 + kx + 10
</span><span>If (x + 2) is a factor of x3 − 6x2 + kx + 10  : f(-2) = 0
(-2)^3-6(-2)² +k(-2)+10=0

In 2010, there were 2,468,435 total deaths in the total US population, with 308,745,538 persons at mid year (July 1). ;Of these
xenn [34]

Answer:

193.586 deaths per 100,000

Step-by-step explanation:

The cause-specific mortality rate for a disease in a per 100,000 basis is determined as the total number of deaths due to the disease multiplied by 100,000 and divided by the average (mid-year) total population.

There were 597,689 deaths due to diseases of the heart in a population of 308,745,538 people. The cause-specific mortality rate for diseases of the heart per 100,000 in this population is:

M=\frac{597,689}{308,745,538}*100,000\\ M=193.586\ deaths/100,000

The mortality rate is 193.586 deaths per 100,000.

Which is the graph of the given function?
Schach [20]

ANSWER

The correct choice is A.

EXPLANATION

The given cosine function is:

f(t) = 2 \cos( - 4t)

This function has an amplitude of 2.

Hence it must have range,

-2≤f(t)≤2

It has a period of

\frac{\pi}{2}

Hence the function must complete one cycle on the interval,

[0,½π],

[½π,π],

etc.

The negative sign shows a reflection in the y-axis but since the cosine function is even, the function retraces itself.

The correct choice is A
