It lies between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Upper Ridge Mountains. It is located in the Southeastern and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
4. The Ridge And Valley: This region has long and parallel ridges and rolling valleys. This region is located west of the Blue Ridge. It stretches from northern New York to Alabama thereby crossing northwest of Georgia.
5. The Blue Ridge: The mountains in this region actually consist of the highest mountain range found in the state. It is located in the North Georgia mountains.
