Answer: So lets say that the width is w. The length(L) is 4 meters greater than 3 times the width. 3 times the width would be 3w, and then 4 meters greater than that would be 3w+4. You have two widths and two lengths to a rectangle that must add up to equal 72. So 2w + 2L =72. But remember that one L equals 3w+4

2(w) + 2(3w+4) = 72

2w+6w+8=72

8w+8=72

8w=64

w=8

L=3w+4

L=3(8)+4

L=24+4

L=28

So the dimensions are 8 meters by 28 meters

To check 2(8)+2(28)=72

Nitella [24]

Dissecting the information:

"The husband pays a flat rate of $125 for one year" means he pays $125 irrespective of how many times he visits (x). Doesn't depend on the number of visits (x).

"The wife pays $6 per visit" means that she pays $6x, of course, being dependent on the number of visits (x).

Hence, their total cost is sum of their individual costs, $(125+6x).

Husband's cost is <em>f(x)=125, </em>wife's cost is <em>g(x)=6x, </em>and total cost is <em>h(x)=125+6x. </em>Option D is correct answer.

READ WHOLE QUESTION!:There are 50 campers at day camp and 10 counselors.Write the ratio campers to counselors as a fraction.Expl
Dovator [93]
<span>Given that there are 50 campers at day camp and 10 counselors.

The ratio of campers to counselors as a fraction is given by \frac{50}{10}.

Using equivalent fractions we have \frac{50\div10}{10\div10} = \frac{5}{1}.

Thus, the related rate and unit rate to the ratio of campers to counselors is given by \frac{5}{1}.

The unit rate indicates that for every counselor, there are 5 campers.</span>

If area of a circle is 49/64 pie cm square,then find the circumference of the circle?
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

7/4 * pi

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of circle = pi * r^2

Find radius:

pi * 49/64 = pi * r^2

49/64 = r^2

7/8= r

Circumference of circle = 2pi * r

2 * pi * (7/8) = 7/4 * pi

Assuming that the answer is in terms of pi as the question is in terms of pi
