They might gain or lose weight quickly, unexpectedly, and with no explanation unless thyroid is tested. Some of the symptoms that can occur with metabolic disorders are lethargy, jaundice and seizures. The symptoms expressed would vary with the type of metabolic disorder, mostly calcium metabolic disorders. Increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist.
