we have been asked to find the total area of the blades.

Area of one blade=\frac{1}{2}*base*height=\frac{1}{2}*7*4  =14  \ ft^2\\

Total are of blades=4*\text{Area of one blade}\\

Total are of blades=4*14=56 \ ft^2\\
