Move all to one side, make other side zero, and I like x^2 term to be positive

5-11x^2=-8x
add -5+11x^2 to both sides
0=11x^2-8x-5

4+3x=-x^2+2
add x^2-2 to both sides
x^2+3x+4+2=0
x^2+3x+6=0

x(x+2)=-5
add 5 to both sides
x(x+2)+5=0
x^2+2x+5=0

(2x-1)^2=1
expand
(2x-1)(2x-1)=1
4x^2-2x-2x+1=1
minus 1 from both sides
4x^2-4x=0

What's an example of a situation in which it is better to find the difference in order to compare two quantities.
Flauer [41]
When you find the difference to compare two different quantities, it shows what is missing from one that is in the other. for example if you compare 4 and 8 by subtracting 4 from 8, then you know that 8 is 4 more than 4.

Can someone show me how to do it and the answer
Virty [35]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle is

(x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2

h= 9, k = -7

r = 2, so r^2 = 4.

We now know that the equation must equal 4, so we can rule out answers A and C.

Plug in the values for h and k to get

(x-9)^2 + (y+7)^2 = 4

Choice B is correct!
