A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after. Laughter boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.

Which words in this sentence are the infinitive? Would you like to cook? A. like to B. to cook C. you like D. would you
AysviL [449]
B. to cook

An infinitive almost always begins with “to” and is followed by the basic form of the verb. It is usually in this form:

To + Verb = Infinitive

An infinitive is NOT a verb, so s, es, ed, or ing should not be added to the end. Infinitives can be used as nouns, adjectives or adverbs. According to the pattern of what an infinitive should be, “to cook” is the infinitive of this sentence and it functions as a noun.

When Montag visits Faber, he’s told that there are "lots of Harvard degrees on the tracks between here and Los Angeles." What do
Sidana [21]

Explanation:

I Assumed you are referring to the story, "FAHRENHEIT 451 " by Ray Bradbury

Interestingly, we see the conversation that transpired on page 61 of the text. There Montag was indirectly referring to the many "educated" individuals who due to their not having a home, sought refuge along the train tracks.

So in other words, he was alluding to the fact that even though lots of persons had University degrees, they were unfortunate and lived along the rail tracks in the city.
