You have to add up all the numbers then divide by the amount of numbers there are
24+38+19=81
81/3=27
The average is 27

Answer:

27

Step-by-step explanation:

Because to find the average you have to add them all up and divide by how many there are:

So: (24+38+19)/3= 27

How would you explain to someone the rules of a horizontal translation where we are subtracting from the inputs(within the paren
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

Ok, we know that we can write a horizontal translation as:

y' = f(x - A)

where if A is positive, this moves the graph of f(x) A units to the right.

Why is this?

Ok, let's compare:

y = f(x)

and

y' = f(x - A)

in y, when x = 0 we have f(0).

While to have this same point in y', we need to evaluate in x = A.

f(A - A) = f(0).

Then the value f(0) is now at x = A, this means that the point moved A units to the right.

And you can do this for all the values, so you will find that the entire graph of f(x) has ben moved A units to the right.

Angles
coldgirl [10]
<h3>Answer: XWY and STR</h3>

I tend to think of parallel lines as train tracks (the metal rail part anyway). Inside the train tracks is the interior region, while outside the train tracks is the exterior region. Alternate exterior angles are found here. Specifically they are angles that are on opposite or alternate sides of the transversal cut.

Both pairs of alternate exterior angles are shown in the diagram below. They are color coded to help show how they pair up and which are congruent.

A thing to notice: choices B, C, and D all have point W as the vertex of the angles. This means that the angles somehow touch or are adjacent in some way due to this shared vertex point. However, alternate exterior angles never touch because parallel lines never do so either. We can rule out choices B,C,D from this reasoning alone. We cannot have both alternate exterior angles on the same exterior side of the train tracks. Both sides must be accounted for.

Find the number of pairs (a,b) of integers such that<br> a+2/a+5=b/3
Viktor [21]

Answer:

  6

Step-by-step explanation:

The expression can be rearranged to ...

  b = 3 -9/(a+5)

In order for b to be an integer, (a+5) must be an integer divisor of 9. There are exactly 6 of those: ±1, ±3, ±9.

The attached table shows the values (a, b) = (x₁, f(x₁)).

After driving 152 km, 4/5 of a trip is completed. How long is the total trip? How many more kilometers must be driven to compl
nikitadnepr [17]

Answer:

1. Total Trip Distance = 190 kilometers

2. To complete the trip, 38 more kilometers left

Step-by-step explanation:

1.

Let total trip be x kilometers.

So we can say

<em>"152 is \frac{4}{5} of total" --- this into equation is:</em>

152=\frac{4}{5}x\\x=\frac{152}{\frac{4}{5}}\\x=190

Total trip is 190 km.

2.

Since already driven 152, to complete 190, you have to drive  190-152=38 kilometers more.

So, 38 more kilometers to complete the trip.
