Racism has been around in America for hundreds of years. Systematic racism began years before slavery and people have generally always hated people who don't look like them. In the words of Mahatma Ghandi "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." The system of hatred that we have today does not work. After slavery was abolished in America, racism grew. People knew that they couldn't own slaves any more, and that made them hate their past slaves. Even today, racism continues to divide nations and continents. Yet, in truth, we are all similar and can all do amazing things. As Leotyne Price once said, "Accomplishments have no color."
Media keeps us informed on almost about anything.
Its good side is that it helps us solicit ideas on how to improve the beliefs on
things. Its bad side is that when we do not understand the information
thoroughly and we feel introjected following it or we follow it with our biases
and prejudices.
