The answer is the constitution limits powers of governments as one way of securing individual rights. It did not include the majority of protection about human rights.

EXPLANATION

The constitution of the United States is written in Philadelphia at the 1780s. The constitution is the landmark document of the Western world and the fundamental law that controls the US federal system of government. The constitution is the oldest constitution that is used as principal organs for the government and the basic rights for the people in America.

The constitution did not include the majority of human rights. Thus, the Bill of Rights then came into effect on December 15, 1791. The Bill of Rights protects the rights of people, residents, and visitors that are in the American territory. The Bill of Rights also limits the powers of the federal government.

The Bill of Rights protects a lot of freedom for people, such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, freedom to petition, and the right to keep and bear arms. The Bill of Rights also prohibits unusual and cruel punishment, unreasonable search and seizure, and compelled self-incrimination.

The Bill of Rights also bans Congress to make a law respecting the establishment of religion. It also prohibits the federal government to deprive a person’s life without property and liberty during the law process. These are also on of the legal protections that are included in the Bill of Rights.

Answer:

The Constitution limits the powers of governments as one way of securing individual rights.

Explanation:

This is the statement that is true. The Constitution did not include a lot of protections when it came to individual rights, which is one reason why the Bill of Rights was later included. However, it did contain some mechanisms that ensured the protection of these rights. One of these mechanisms was the limitation of the powers of governments. By limiting these powers, the Constitution ensured that the rights of individuals were not infringed upon by governments.
