onal. Furnish honest and useful employments to those so trained, and such employments they will greatly prefer to dishonest or injurious occupations. 1. Describe federalism in your own words using evidence from Document 2 to support your description. (4 Points)
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

Federalism is mainly understood to be an organizational principle in which the individual members (member states) have a limited independence and statehood, but are united to a sovereign overarching federal state.

A federal state consists of sub-states that exercise certain (limited) competences under constitutional law that are not derived from the federal government as a whole. In addition to the state as a whole, the member states of a federal state therefore have their own, original autonomy over the population in their territory in terms of constitutional law.

What locational problem did using the astrolabe help to solve? (5 points)
dolphi86 [110]

An astrolabe is a primitive angle-measuring tool. It can be used to - very in-exactly! - measure the altitude above the horizon of a celestial body like the Sun, Moon or Polaris in order to calculate your position.

Medieval gunners used the astrolabe to calculate the height of towers and buildings, in order to more accurately aim their cannons.
